Embratur was present at the opening of one of the main tourism fairs on the continent this Tuesday (5/4), in São Paulo (SP): WTM Latin America. After holding its first virtual edition due to the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, the fair will once again occupy the Expo Center Norte until April 7.
With 600 confirmed exhibitors, the expectation is that WTM Latin America will attract more than 8 thousand visitors from 50 countries and 19 thousand tourism professionals over the three days of the fair. During the first day of programming, Embratur was represented by the office manager of the Marketing, Intelligence and Communication Board, André Reis.
After participating in the ceremony, Reis participated in a meeting with Aena Brasil and state managers to discuss the feasibility of attracting new international flights to the Brazilian Northeast. Currently, Aena Brasil operates the airports of Recife (PE), Maceió (AL), João Pessoa (PB), Aracaju (SE), Juazeiro do Norte (CE) and Campina Grande (PB). Also this Tuesday, the Embratur representative met with the ICCA (International Congress and Convention Association).
The World Travel Market (WTM) holds six annual events on four continents. The objective is to create relationships, connections, qualified content, establish partnerships and close deals for the sector. In 2021, despite being 100% virtual, WTM Latin America reached the mark of 4,200 meetings held between buyers, travel agents and exhibitors.
SUPPORT – The Ministry of Tourism of Brazil supports the event and this year highlights the Accessible Tourism program and the importance of accessibility in the sector, in addition to 15 co-exhibitor posts between destinations and service providers of accessibility products.
