FITUR 2026 Confirms Mexico as Partner Country and Strengthens Its Role as a Global Tourism Hub
Madrid, Spain — January 2026 — FITUR, the International Tourism Trade Fair, one of the world’s most important gatherings for the global tourism industry, will return to IFEMA Madrid from January 21 to 25, 2026, reaffirming its position as a leading platform for innovation, networking, and business development in travel and tourism.
Organized by IFEMA Madrid, FITUR 2026 will bring together thousands of tourism professionals, institutions, destinations, and companies from over 150 countries. The event will once again serve as a strategic meeting point to showcase new tourism products, analyze industry trends, and foster international partnerships across both inbound and outbound travel markets.
Mexico Named Partner Country for FITUR 2026
The 46th edition of FITUR will feature Mexico as the Official Partner Country, highlighting the nation’s cultural, natural, and gastronomic richness, as well as its commitment to innovation and sustainable tourism development. Mexico will present an immersive and interactive exhibition space showcasing its tourism regions, Magical Towns, and a diversified portfolio ranging from its 35 UNESCO World Heritage Sites to iconic celebrations such as the Day of the Dead and the Veracruz Carnival, alongside emerging and lesser-known destinations.
Throughout the fair, Mexico will host presentations, cultural activities, and high-level strategic meetings with industry leaders, investors, and international media, positioning the country as a key global tourism powerhouse.
Innovation, Sustainability, and Knowledge at the Core
FITUR 2026 will expand its footprint with the addition of Hall 12, connected to Hall 4, dedicated to innovation and tourism knowledge. This new space will serve as the epicenter for digitalization, emerging trends, and forward-thinking discussions, hosting conferences, debates, and specialized content areas including FITUR Tech Y, FITUR Next, Know-How & Export, FITUR Talent, FITUR Sports, and the Travel Technology Area.
A key highlight of the edition will be the FITUR Next 2026 Challenge, focused on how tourism can contribute to efficient and sustainable water management, recognizing impactful initiatives across destinations, hospitality, transport, and the food value chain.
