TOP RESA has a large international attendance of professionals from the sector and is the ideal platform to do business and build relationships with the French commercial chain.
15 Peruvian companies are participating in the 45th edition of the IFTM TOP RESA fair, an event that is held annually in Paris, France, and brings together more than 30,000 professionals from the tourism sector from all over the world, reported the Commission for the Promotion of the Peru for Export and Tourism (PROMPERÚ).
This year, the fair is taking place from September 20 to 22 and our country is present thanks to PROMPERÚ management with a 100-square-meter stand located in the Americas area, next to the main corridor, which guarantees a important international showcase for our varied Peruvian tourist offer, highlighting culture, nature, adventure, gastronomy and community tourism as pillars.
The Peruvian stand is also disseminating outstanding products of our famous gastronomy by offering coffee, pisco and chocolate tastings. Likewise, outdoor experiences and sustainable practices are being promoted – so required by new travel trends – that the different regions of our country offer.
It is important to point out that our participation in TOP RESA allows us to enhance and give continuity to our country’s promotion actions in the French market.
Peru is presented as a destination that offers unique experiences, not overcrowded. Thus, the Peruvian private sector participates with the marketing of its tourism products in the French commercial channel, reinforcing Peru’s position as a destination that respects sustainable practices and is safe for tourists.
It is worth remembering that the Peruvian delegation that attended the event last year made more than 462 appointments with professionals from the sector and obtained a business potential of more than 3.9 million dollars.
Profile of the French tourist
The French traveler focuses on cultural tourism: he is interested in urban tours, as well as visits to archaeological sites, monuments and museums. Likewise, he tends to choose destinations that are not overcrowded and outdoors in search of adventure experiences in natural areas.
The French are part of the international visitors who carry out more community tourism in our country: they attach great importance to the effect of their vacations on the ecosystem and also seek complete experiences where they can share with local communities and discover new places. It is important to note that they have a special interest in visiting Peru at least once in their lives.
