In Madrid, officials from Embratur and MTur met with representatives of the Iberia airline and the Ávoris Group
The Brazilian delegation participating in Fitur, in Madrid (Spain), met this Friday (21.01) with representatives of the Spanish airline Iberia and the Ávoris Group. On the agenda, the increase in flights to Brazil, joint promotion campaigns with Embratur and the expansion of investments in the country.
The meetings were attended by the president of Embratur, Carlos Brito, and a delegation from the Ministry of Tourism, which also included the head of the Special Advisory, Rafael Luisi, and the head of the Special Advisory for International Relations, Ambassador Jorge Kadri.
At the Brazilian stand at Fitur, Embratur and MTur discussed alliances in the promotion and expansion of the offer of flights to the country with the Iberia airline. Carlos Brito highlighted the optimism regarding the resumption of tourism. An agreement was discussed for joint broadcasting in destinations where Iberia already has routes in Brazil.
The company indicated that it should resume, now in February, the number of flights to São Paulo (one daily flight) and, as of July, three weekly flights to Rio de Janeiro. “Embratur would invest in the promotion of destinations and Iberia would have more flights to Brazil”, said the president of Embratur.
Later, at the Grupo Ávoris headquarters in Madrid, the Brazilian delegation met with Johan Tyren, from the Tourism Operations area, and Lisandro Menu-Marque, director of Expansion. During the talks, there were talks to strengthen tourism and future partnerships in Brazil.
