The agreement confirms that Travelport agency clients will have access to Finnair’s robust multi-source content, including ancillary services
Travelport, a global technology company that powers travel bookings for hundreds of thousands of travel suppliers worldwide, and Finnair, the flag carrier of Finland, today announced that they have enhanced their long-term relationship with a multi-source content agreement that includes both New Delivery Capability (NDC) content and traditional content.
The companies are currently collaborating on the delivery of Finnair’s NDC content and service capabilities through the Travelport+ platform.
“Our agreement with Travelport underlines our shared focus on delivering more value and better experiences to travellers when they shop and book with Finnair,” said Jenni Suomela, Vice President Global Sales and Channel Management at Finnair. “This collaboration with Travelport will elevate our NDC programme as we continue to scale and drive adoption among travel agencies and retailers.”
“This agreement ensures that agents using Travelport+ can access relevant, personalised and enriched multi-source content from Finnair so they can present the best available offers to travellers,” said Damian Hickey, Global Head of Air Partners at Travelport. “We are committed to delivering retail-ready multi-source content that our agency clients can easily sell and service to partners like Finnair, because modern travel retail needs to work seamlessly for everyone.”
Travelport+ is the only modern retail platform built for travel agencies. To date, thousands of agencies in over 178 countries can easily source, sell and service NDC content using Travelport APIs, Smartpoint Cloud and Smartpoint agency desktop POS solutions.
